Materials Needed:

Elastic: 1 Yard of 1″ no roll
Fabric: Cut and pieced to 58-66″ Width x 3.25″
Hardware: 1 Key Fob w/ split ring

Key Fob Pressing Tool (or pliers)

  • Sew along the long side at 1/4″ SA (or 1/8″ if fabric is 3″ wide).
  • Using the turning tool of your choice, turn the tube RSO
  • Using a Bodkin or safety pin, feed the elastic through the tube, pinning or clipping at the end to prevent the elastic from sliding back into the tube.
  • Pinch any loose fabric tightly against each end of the elastic and clip to hold
  • Squirt some glue just inside the ends (to glue the fabric to the elastic), clip and allow to dry for a few minutes
  • Align the ends and squirt some glue between the 2 ends to help hold in place, then clip to hold while glue drying
  • Put a little more glue on the ends then slide the Key Fob hardware over the ends and pinch closed with the Pressing Tool (or pliers)
  • Squirt some more glue into any space under the hardware and allow to dry
